Inspection Summary:
This inspection was conducted in response to a Notice of Intent. Contact was made with Hana Cooley, EHS Coordinator,
on site. This facility works with plastic pellets under SIC 3087, "custom compounding of purchased plastics resins". The
raw pellets are loaded into large silos and into the facility through what appears to be pneumatic tubes. The loading ports for
these tubes is small and enclosed in walls, but uncovered. There is also an open dumpster and a few dozen pallets
outdoors. Otherwise, all industrial processes occur indoors and exposure of industrial activities to rain is minimal. The
possibility of applying for NCGNE was discussed with Ms. Cooley. For now, the NCGO5 appears to be the appropriate
permit, and acceptance of the NOI is recommended.
