NARRATIVE
Project Description
This construction is on a 40-acre tract of land in the Derbyshire
Subdivision in Polk County, North Carolina which includes the
clearing and grubbing of some existing forest land,grading of new
drive two homes site,one boat storage cabin,an equestrian area
with a barn,arena,a maintenance building,access drives,fenced
areas for horses and a perimeter security fence. Note the
disturbance is limits to areas exposed(See Tile Sheet and master
plan drawings included).
Site Description
The site is located on the North side of the Derbyshire Subdivision in
McDowell County.The land being developed is 40 percent open
pasture and 60 percent wooded. Next to the 33 acres subdivision
lake(Lake Sandy Plains)the water is protected by a 20-foot buffer,
which is part of the Polk County Development Ordinance.
