Dear Mr. Hidlay:
This correspondence is in reference to the Neu -Con UMBI, Bucher Mitigation Project,
located at 3132 Redwood Road, in Durham, Durham County, North Carolina. The
mitigation site is adjacent to and within the Neuse River Basin, Hydrologic Unit Code
(HUC) 03020201. The purpose of this letter is to confirm the release of stream restoration
and enhancement credits associated with the Year 2 Monitoring activities for this project.
Pursuant to the site's Umbrella Mitigation Banking Instrument and the site -specific
Mitigation Plan, the following mitigation credits shall be available for sale provided the
annual monitoring report demonstrates interim performance standards are being met:
• 10% of the total enhancement and/or restoration Stream Mitigation Units
(SMUs) associated with year 2 annual monitoring (1,110.171 Warm Water
SMUs)
Based on review of the data provided for the stream restoration site, we confirm that
you have satisfied the above requirements, and 1.110.171 Warm Water SMUs are now
available for sale. Total credits released to date are 5,940.292 SMUs.
Please review the comments provided by the NCIRT during their review of the
monitoring report, incorporated in the email transmitted with this letter. While it is not
necessary to provide a response to specific comments at this time, please be sure to
address the issues raised in future monitoring report submittals.
