During the months of February and June 2023, groundwater testing for monitoring wells 6, 7, 8,
9, and 10 exceeded the limit value for total Nitrogen, Ammonia. Our Wastewater Treatment
Plant has been under construction for several months now. Due to the work being done to our
spray field, bar screen, and lagoons, we have had to spray more at different times. This I believe
has played a roll in the values being higher than normal. The Town has since had new spray
heads installed on all the risers and we should be seeing a difference very soon. The work at the
Wastewater Treatment Plant should be completed around December 2023. The Town would like
to ask for amendments in these matters.
