Good afternoon Tom,
After reviewing your application, I will need the following completed.
1. Plan View and Side View of your requested impacts. (Pages 2 and 3 of the Plan View Bank Stabilization
attachment).
2. The Catawba Notification form signed.
3. Your application says that work will be done by land. We allow for a 10' temporary access easement straight
down through the buffer to the shoreline. Zone 1 is 30' landward from the 760' contour line and Zone 2 is the
additional 20' landward from Zone 1 totaling a 50' buffer. Therefore, your temporary access easement would be
500sgft. That is 300sgft in Zone 1 and 200sgft in Zone 2. This must be reseeded and returned to the state before
disturbance and no trees shall be removed greater than 3" dbh.
4. You will need to fix your total impacts on page 1 of the bank stabilization form attached. Your disturbance below
will be the length of your shoreline multiplied by the total feet your riprap will go below the 760' contour. The
total disturbance above will be your shoreline multiplied by feet of riprap above the 760 and then in a separate
line you would put your temporary 500sgft for the access corridor.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Best,
Amie Hoy
