Inspection Summary:
This inspection was conducted in response to a Notice of Intent. The compost facility at Mebane Shrubbery accepts woody
debris and leaves and grinds them into mulch. A series of compost piles in wind rows are re-mulched and composted for 6
years, with the composted mulch as a final product. The NCG24 appears to be the appropriate permit, and no additional or
objectionable activities were observed. The coordinates of the north outfall in the permit application were incorrect, indicatinc
a far away spot in Guilford County. The appropriate coordinates of the outfall below the pond at the north end of the property
are 36.13199, -79.34881. The south outfall was plotted correctly.
