THIS DEED is made this 1'7n day of 1993, by
and between MARTIN MARIETTA TECHNOLOGIES, INC. , a Maryland
corporation ("Grantor") , and MARTIN MARIETTA MATERIALS, INC. , a
North Carolina corporation ("Grantee") , whose mailing address is
P.O. $ox 30013, Raleigh, North Carolina 27622.
WITNESSETH:
For and in consideration of $1.00 cash in hand paid by Grantee
to Grantor, and other good and valuable consideration, the receipt
and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, Grantor has and by
these presents does grant, bargain, sell and convey unto Grantee in
fee simple, all those certain tracts or parcels of land situated in
Alamance County, North Carolina, more particularly described on
Exhibit A, attached hereto and made a part hereof.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the aforesaid tracts or parcels of land
and all privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging to the
Grantee in fee simple.
Grantor covenants with Grantee that Grantor is seized of said
land in fee simple, that Grantor has the right to convey the same
in fee simple, that title thereto is marketable and free and clear
of all encumbrances and that Grantor will warrant and defend said
title against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever, except
for those matters hereinafter stated.
Title to the property hereinabove described is subject to the
following exceptions:
1. 1993 ad valorem taxes affecting the above-described
property.
2. Easements, Rights-of-Way, Restrictions and Encumbrances
of record affecting the above-described property.
3. Unmatured Deeds of Trust, if any, affecting the above-
described property.
The designation "Grantor", and "Grantee" as used herein shall
include said named parties and their respective heirs, personal
representatives, successors and assigns, and shall include the

274, Alamance County Registry.

(1) BEING all of those certain tracts or parcels of land conveyed
to Martin Marietta Corporation by deeds recorded in Book 549,
Page 437; Book 549, Page 435; Book 548, Page 618; Book 550,
Page 102; Book 408, Page 768; and Book 694, Page 296, all of
the Alamance County Registry.
NOTE: (1) Martin Marietta Technologies, Inc. is the corporate
successor to Martin Marietta Corporation by name change.
(2) Martin Marietta Corporation was the corporate
successor in the consolidation of American Marietta
company and The Martin Company.
