The monitoring wells will be temporary for just a one -day sampling event. The plan is to do the drilling, collect the
sample, and do the abandonment all on the same day, which is currently planned to be 11/27.

Jonathan,
This monitoring well permit application does not mention whether these 10 wells will be temporary (1 day sampling
event) and then removed same day or if the 1" PVC well will be left in place for some undetermined amount of time for
multiple sampling events. I assume they are temporary, but we can get into trouble assuming things.
If they are truly temporary, please write back a brief narrative describing the proposed sampling process and time frame
OR if they are to be left in place, then the cross-section diagram will need to be revised to show the proper grouting
located at the surface as well as the typical metal casing and/or security locking mechanism. See Rule requirements
under 15A NCAC 02C .0105.
