Mr. Boss,

The wastewater treatment plant was found to be in violation of the SOC for the month of
August. Upon review of the data, it was found that we were out of compliance for the following,
Monthly TSS and Monthly BOD. This is due to the continuing problem with the shallow
secondary clarifiers. This caused an upset in the clarifiers and allowed solids to pass through.
The aeration basin work is nearly half done. Harper is expecting to start bringing those online the
end of the week or the first of next. We are hoping the improvement to the diffusers will improve
the treatment process and allow for better settling in the secondary clarifiers. Work on the
clarifiers is scheduled to begin immediately after the aeration basin is completed. Should you
