RESOLUTION TO GRANT 10/70 ALLOCATION
• TO THE TO1W OF BERMUDA RUN
WHEREAS, Davie County is subject to the state water•supply, watershed protection
regulations established in G,S.143-214.5;and
WHEREAS, Davie County.lawfully established a water supply watershed protection
program on or before January 1,1994;and
WHEREAS,Davie County was granted the right to cover up to ten percent of its
watershed area outside of the critical area up•to seventy percent built-t4pon in
accordance with 15A NCAC 02B.0216;and
WHEREAS,Davie County currently has 9.444 acres-of remaining allocation in the WS-IV
protected area;and
WHEREAS, the Town of Bermuda Run is a legally incorporated municipality located
within Davie County,North Carolina;and•
WHEREAS, the town is in the process of establishing .a. planning program with
extraterritorial planning jurisdiction;and
WHEREAS, the town's jurisdiction, both current and proposed, lies within the WS-IV
water supply watershed protection area mandated by the state;and
WHEREAS,much-of the growth expected to occur in eastern Davie County is projected
to occur within the current and future jurisdiction of Bermuda Run;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT• RBSOLVED that the Board of Commissioners of Davie
County hereby grants the Town of Bermuda Run 300. acres of its remaining 10/70.
