on the left. The subsurface sand filter is located <100 feet
southeast of the building.

point and Mud Creek. Downstream uses include fish and
wildlife propagation, fishing, canoeing, and proposed water
supply for the City of Asheville.

PART IV - EVALUATION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The facility is a septic tank and subsurface sand filter operating
with no surface water discharge. It is recommended that the
permit be reissued. Since there is no discharge from the
facility, it is recommended that the monitoring and certified
operator requirements be deleted from the permit, pursuant to 15A
NCAC 2B . 0508 (b) ( 1) . The permit should contain a requirement to
connect to a public sewer when available.
