Initial notification should occur at least one week prior to the projected start date, and again 24 hours prior to the actual start date. It is requested that prior to construction, a field marking of the sewer mainline is performed by a professional utilities location company as stated in the application. If at any time during the construction phase it is suspected that the nearby force sewer mainline has been disturbed, Shellfish Sanitation should be notified immediately. Timely response is important in the event that a temporary shellfish closure and /or swimming advisory are necessary. Additionally, a post construction survey of the sewer line is recommended to assess sewer line integrity. Due to the relative shallow depth of the sewer line within the substrate there are concerns of potential future damage incurred from boat activities at the proposed dock. Shellfish Sanitation should be notified immediately in any instance of damage to the sewer line. 1601 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, North Carolina 27699 -1601 Phone: 919- 707- 8600 1 Internet: www.ncdenr.gov An Equal Oppodunily 1 Affirmative Action Employer— Made in part by recycled paper ♦N Coburn, Chad From: Sent: To: Cc: Subject: Attachments: Humphrey, Jeremy Friday, July 17, 2015 10:02 AM Coburn, Chad Gregson, Jim Grandview Community Marina comments Bailey Associates Grandview Community Marina.doc Hey Chad.
