Narrative/Sludge Use Sludge is handled by a septic tank pumper and is disposed of in a municipal plant. At this time Sanitary Septic Tank Inc., pumps the tanks if needed once a year and disposes of the sludge in one of the Hickory Wastewater Treatment Plants.
