The 2022 Residuals Annual Report for Orange County Water and Sewer Authority
(OWASA) Class A Residuals Program was reviewed by WQROS staff on October 31, 2023.
The report was received on February 28, 2023 and indicates permit compliance.
The Annual Land Application Certification Form included with the report states that
approximately 536.13 dry tons of Class A residuals sourced from facilities listed in
Attachment A of the permit were land applied to 41 of the 91 fields listed in Attachment B
of the permit comprising approximately 724.18 acres during the 2022 calendar year. An
additional 573.46 dry tons of Class A residuals were hauled away and composted under a
permit held by McGill Environmental Systems of NC, Inc. (NCG240005).
Analyses for metals and nutrients and TCLP were submitted according to permit
conditions as were Pathogen and Vector Reduction reports.
The Residuals Annual Report was received on time, in the proper format, and
included a signed Annual Land Application Certification form. At the time of the report
review the facility appeared compliant with the annual report requirement.
