The 2022 Residuals Annual Report for the City of Sanford Class B Residuals Land
Application program was reviewed by WQROS staff on October 30, 2023. The report was
received on February 27, 2023. A signed certification form was submitted and indicated
compliance. The report was compiled and submitted by Synagro. Synagro hauls and applies
all the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) residuals generated under this permit.
In 2022, Synagro collected and distributed approximately 1055.78 dry tons of
residuals from sources listed in Attachment A of the permit to 24 fields listed in Attachment
B of the permit comprising 473.61 acres. Attachment A of the permit indicates the facility
has a limit of 1,000 Maximum Dry Tons Per Year.
The annual report includes the Standard Soil Fertility Analysis for the 24 fields
where residuals were applied in 2022. The current permit includes 43 fields available for
application listed in Attachment B.
Metals and Nutrients analyses were completed as required with no exceedances of
limits. TCLP analyses were completed as required by permit conditions. Pathogen and
Vector Attraction reduction was conducted as required by the permit.
The report was received on time and in the proper format. At the time of the report
review the facility appeared compliant with the annual report requirement.
