Doug/Sue,
The civil engineer on this project has revised the culvert at the road crossing to a bridge to try to get more
volume area due to FEMA requirements through the City of Charlotte. Even with the bridge the banks of the
stream upstream of the bridge will need to be sloped back to provide enough volume not to create a rise in the
floodplain elevation upstream of the project area. Streambank impacts will total 37 linear feet.
Doug,
I talked to Sue about this project yesterday as we were discussing another project. She said that once you
decide if you need to issue a 404 she will review these new exhibits for the 401. To get through City of
Charlotte permitting my preference would be to get a 404 and 401 that the civil engineer can provide to the City
reviewer. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
Thank you,
