Aga and Anshooman Aga: On October 9, 2023, Jane Bernard, from the Raleigh Regional Office visited your single-family residence (SFR) wastewater treatment system to evaluate compliance with the subject General Non -Discharge Permit. I would like to thank you for your assistance during the inspection. Our records indicate the treatment system consists of a 1,500-gallon baffled septic tank, a 2,500- gallon recirculation tank with pump, two recirculating Advantex AX20 filters with VeriComm control panels, a 7 gallon per minute (GPM) ultraviolet (UV) disinfection unit, a 2,500 gallon pump storage tank with a 20 GPM pump, and audio/visual high-water alarms, a rain sensor, a 0.37 acre drip irrigation area with approximately 5,401 linear feet (U) of drip line containing 2,701 emitters, and all associated piping, valves, controls, and appurtenances. This inspection was completed as a result of the Change of Ownership Application signed by you on September 22, 2023. At the time of this compliance inspection, there we no visible problems. The facility is maintained by AQWA. The last AQWA inspection report dated March 17, 2023, states the UV Bulb was replaced, a blockage was cleared in the septic tank and the effluent filter was cleaned. The report also states, "no dial tone to panel for remote monitoring of alarms." During this site visit the audio/visual high-water alarms, and rain sensor were not located. Please have them re-installed/repaired in accordance with the Division approved plans. In the future, Division staff request a representative that has knowledge of the exact location of the complete facility to assist in the inspection. The drip field was not located during this inspection. The house is for sale and vacant at the time of this inspection. Division records indicate the required annual fee ($60 per year) for the period ending April 30, 2024, and due May 5, 2023, is passed due. I have attached the Invoice for your convenience.
