Implementation Status of the Stormwater Program*
Please describe summary of implementation and compliance status.
The City of New Bern's Stormwater program was created 2001.After our last audit we received a notice of deficiency for several of our BMP's.We
are diligently working to improve our program.We have implemented an app based program to ease the ability to inspect SCM's and outfall.We
also awarded Withers Ravenal a contract to conduct asset inventory assessment,this will improve our knowledge of older parts of our system
and outfall locations.New Bern is also in the process of constructing a wetlands retrofit in the Duffyfield community on vacant city properties.
This project will clean run-off as well as provide mitigation for nuisance flood events.As for the six minimum measures,we have implemented
them all and are working to come closer to complete compliance.
