Dear Mr. Davidson:
I am responding, on behalf of B&B Beef Farms, to your letter of January 10, 2022 which B&B
Beef Farms received on January 14, 2022. B&B Beef Farms responded, on December 22 2021, to an earlier
NOV letter regarding a discharge from the same location.
As noted in the December 22, 2021 letter, B&B Beef Farms has eliminated the ditch cut to the
creek by stormwater flow. Mr. Brittain has made contact with Soil and Water. A representative is coming
to the farm next week to start work on a nutrient management plan.
B&B Beef Farms has limited resources and is using those to address this problem. Assessing a
civil penalty will not help water quality or the environment of North Carolina. Thank you for your attention
to this matter.
