Henson Pond - NCWRC comments
Hi Brandee and Rebecca,
I have reviewed the information sent to me about the Henson Pond project, which accounts
for after -the -fact impacts to repair and rehabilitate a dam and pond on an unnamed
tributary to the Fisher River in Surry County. It involves the removal of a forebay,
reconstruction of an outlet, and stream channel restoration in the forebay area. A coldwater
release structure will be incorporated into the discharge structure.
Project activities should not impact wild trout reproduction, and a trout moratorium is not
required. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to review this project.
