This Office has reviewed your CAMA application for the rebuilding of lwa existing 10-slip dock
structures in Sloop Point PIantatton. Aue to the memo the Division o#' Water Quality received from the
Shellfish Sanitation and Recreational Water Quality Section about their proposed shellfish harvest closure
recommendation, this pffice has determined that significant uses could be removed or degraded by this
project. Therefore, unless modifications of the proposal are made, we will recommend moving towards
denial of the ~}O1 Water Qualify Certification as required in T SA NCAC 2H .0507. Specifically, rare
strongly Encourage you to revise your prof act to prevent a "closure" of shellfish waters,
If the project is modified to avoid the closure of shellfish waters,l7WQ will have no objection to
the project.
Please respond within three weeks of the date of this Ietter by sending a copy of the information
