Inspection Summary:
Site inspection was conducted on October 13, 2023 by Kevin Mitchell with the Asheville Regional Office. Eugene
McClure was present during the inspection.
- Station L - 40+75 to 41+15 LT/RT - Erosion control was not in place during the inspection. The inspector informed me
that the culvert work was just now being completed and banks were in the process of being graded and rip rapped.
Follow up photographs werer received on 10.14.23 showing the installation of EC measures.
- The culvert outlet is overwidened and could use benches to match the downstream channel widths. Please coordinate
this with the Division Environmental Officer.
Rip rap on the stream banks was not permitted on this site. Ensure rip rap is above the Ordinary High Water Mark.
- Ensure the project is meeting the NPDES cover requirements.
NPDES records were up to date.
