Describe proposed work (include discussion as to how hardening of shoreline has been avoided, or why it is necessary): Remove old existing wood wall at the top of shoreline and replace with new block wall. Old wall has erosion and run off occurring from behind and from underneath the bottom of the wall due to the steepness of the bank. Only replacing what already exists and new wall will be within the same footprint. Grid matting will be used behind the wall to help prevent and control erosion. At the base of the wall on the shoreline, install matting and install a fresh layer of rip rap 4' wide along length of wall. Install TN Crab Orchard steps to replace old wood steps on immediate shoreline for lake access. 8. How will the work be done?* From Land From Water 9. Total amount of disturbance below the normal pool lake level/ normal water level: * (including all clearing, back fill, excavation, rip rap, retaining walls, etc.) 3' below (210 sf) square feet 10. Total amount of disturbance above the normal pool lake level/ normal water level and 50 feet land- ward: * (including all clearing, back fill, excavation, rip rap, retaining walls, etc.) 1' above for rip rap (70 sf) 70' x 7' high wall at top of shoreline (490 sf) 10' x 50' access corridor (500 sf of temp. impact) square feet 11. Please describe the vegetation above the normal pool lake level/ normal water level and 50 feet landward to be impacted:* (number of trees, for instance) Grass buffer, no trees removed, minimal disturbance to buffer.
