The purpose of the evaluation was to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with Zr .0403 and the assigned Deemed Permit number WQCSD0634. Lee Buck, the ORC was present during the inspection. The Division appreciates Mr. Buck for his assistance during the inspection. The collection system is equipped with three pump stations. Pump Station 1 is located near the Island Beach & Racquet Club wastewater treatment plant (WQ0000986). Pump Station 2 is located south of W Fort Macon Rd (NC Hwy 58), opposite the Dollar General Store, near the Ocean Resorts complex. Pump Station 3 is located in the Seaside Villas, North of NC Hwy 58 near Pelican Drive. All pump stations were equipped with duplex pumping systems with visual and audible alarms as well as signs with proper identification and contact information. Stations 1 and 2 are hard -wired to be powered by a backup generator located at the WWTP in the event of a power outage. Pump Station 3 is equipped with its own backup diesel powered generator. All three pump stations appeared to be relatively free of oil and grease as well as floatable materials. Records were available and complete. The facility is in compliance with the deemed permit conditions, as specified within 2T .0403. Please review the comment sections of the inspection report for more details.
