The Lena Davis Landing Project site is both within the jurisdiction of Jackson County and the State • North Carolina. Jackson County has reviewed the site plan as proposed and it felt that an official stormwater plan would not be required as the area of disturbance is less than one acre- The NCDENR Division of Energy, Mineral and Land Resources- Division of Land Resources, would not require an "Official Erosion Control,Plan" for projects less than one acre. Duke Energy submitted the plans to Jackson County to ensure the project was being supervised and the erosion measures were implemented correctly and maintained. The plan was approved on 5/26/2015. If acceptance of the erosion control plans by Jackson County's Local Program was in error, please advise. In further review, the impervious surface areas exceeded the allowable 12 percent as described in Chapter 10, Division 3, Article 11, See. 10-590 (d) of the Jackson County Watershed Protection Ordinance. This has been corrected by revising the plans and installing a gravel paver system instead of Heavy Duty Asphalt Paving.
