Summerhouse had a three daily Ammonia exceedences of 11.7, 12.6, and, 10.2 mg/L, Total Nitrogen monthly average exceedence of 11.83 mg/L, and Total Phosphorus monthly average exceedance of 2.0E mg/L. The ammonia exceedance can be attributed to high temperature in the aeration zone of the MBR which averaged around 32 degrees C not allowing the DO to get to or above a 1.5 mg/L for extended amounts of time. To fix this I increased the air to the influent EQ to start the process before the aeration zone. The Total Nitrogen and Phosphorus can be attributed to the digester decant, and sending the upset pond flow back to the headworks for treatment. Beginning on the first week of August 2023 we began a more intensive process control at the plant running the MLSS percentage, Ammonia, Nitrate, and Phosphorus on each MBR and filtrate to assist in making proactive plant adjustment.
