Dear Ms.Young,
Thank you for the information regarding our ability to rescind the NPDES permit.
Weaver's intention is to rescind the permit next year as part of completing the final soil remediation and perimeter soil
berm removal. We believe the soil berm provides an important E&S control feature that should remain in place until the
final soil remediation work is completed.
We are presently preparing a work plan for approval by the NCDEQ Division of Waste Management, Superfund Section-
IHSB to perform this work.The work plan will also be provided to the City of Winston-Salem, NCDEQ Division of Water
Quality(Jenny Graznak) and NCDEQ Division of Energy, Minerals, and Land (Tamer Eplin).The work plan will be
submitted on October 23, 2023.
