This is a follow-up email to update you about sediment removal and repairs that were made after
the Idalia rain event at the subject bridge project. Please see the attached photo. The contractor
removed the sediment with hand tools and repaired the slope, fabric, and riprap.

Hi Tom and Hannah,
The project inspector at the subject bridge reported a sediment loss at the subject project yesterday,
after rain over the weekend (2.1 inches on Saturday). This is one of the locations that had a loss
reported on 7/10/2023. They are mobilizing a crew to retrieve the sediment and to fix the shoulders
with matting and seed. This project only had impacts for fill (to the toe of fill) and no mechanized
clearing impacts beyond the fill, which makes retrieval a bit more difficult (I think was due to public
lands adjacent to the right of way). We will follow-up with the assistant resident engineer to make
sure that this is resolved. They need to be moving toward getting everything stabilized since this
project is now compete.
