Inspection Summary:
The facility is in the process of closing permanently and is dismantling equipment and moving everything out. Chip Gaynor
([phone] [e-mail]), who applioed for a stormwater permit rescissiomn, was on site. There were a
number of issues found that will prevent the rescission from being approved.
They are:
There is a large petroleum stain on the asphalt and adjacent grassed area on the East side of the building where a roll off
dumpster was stationed. This will need to be cleaned up and disposed of properly.and documented as is required by their
permit.
There is a large area of black powdery stains at the South side loading docks that will need to be cleaned up, disposed and
document who cleaned it up when and where was it dosposed.
There are drums, tanks and poly tanks inside the building that will need to be disposed of with documentation.
There is an indoor drain pit that will need to be cleaned out professionally and the bulk and liquids disposed of and
documented.Glycol is one of the chemicals used on site.
There are 3) large silos that held resin on site that will need to be cleaned out professionally and document when did who
cleaned it what and how much of that was disposed of where.
There is a shipping container located outside of teh building on teh East side that will need allthe hazardous waste removed
and documented. The secondary containment in the shipping container is covered in hazardous waste that will need to be
cleaned out and disposed of before it leaves the site. This will need to be documented.
The rescission request is not recommnded and the facility is advised to reapply for the rescission once everything has been
cleaned out and cleaned up.
