KENDALL Digitally by DALL SMITH N —Dater.3'_- (Signature) SMITH 14:27:48-04'00' (Date) Comment: The USACE, NCDOT (Brian Lipscomb, et. al.), and the USFWS had recent conversation regarding the opportunity to pursue a possible nature -based shoreline stabilization project at this location through the USACE CAP program. The group is currently planning to conduct a feasibility study toward that end. While we are supportive of the current request to stabilize the shoreline, we request that a longer term solution that will protect additional shoreline through this partnership and the CAP program be continued.
