This email serves as a notification that a spill of Iso 46 Biodegradable hydraulic fluid occurred on 12 September 2023 at approximately 1:30pm atAmazon.com
Services LLC—SNC2(Amazon SNC2), 10622 Bryton Corporate Center Dr, Huntersville, NC 28078(NPDES Permit Number NCG060439). Republic Services, the site's
waste management vendor, was collecting waste via hydraulic lifting mechanism. The system burst causing the fluid to spill onto the surround pavement.
Republic Services immediately placed an absorbent pad in the area and Amazon SNC2 was able to place additional control measures within five minutes of the
spill.An environmental cleaning contractor was onsite within about two hours of the spill. One storm drain was in the spill area. The cleaning vendor estimated
that the total spill was 25 gallons,and estimated that a small volume(approximately eight ounces)may have entered the stormwater system.All surface
material was remediated, and an absorbent boom was placed in the affected drain.
On 9113 at approximately 12:30pm, a slight sheen was observed on the surface of the standing water beneath the affected drain.Amazon SNC2 will continue
working with the cleaning vendor to ensure any remaining oil residue is removed from the drain via vacuum.
The cleaning vendor will provide a report to the Amazon SNC2 within a few business days. Please let us know if further action is required.
