Site inspection was conducted on September 18, 2023 by Kevin Mitchell with the Asheville Regional Office. The site
visit was a follow up inspection for a self reported sediment loss that occured on September 12, 2023. According to rain
gauge data, the north end of the project received 2.5" of rain in 45 minutes. Ross Straup was present during the
inspection.
All areas with reported sediment loss were inspected and no additional cleanup is necessary in jurisdictional areas. The
following are items that need attention:
- Station 995+00 LT L3 - Sediment in the pipe needs to be removed. Groundcover is needed above outlet and inlet of
pipe.
- Station 990+00 LT L3 - Mulch and seed where off -site sediment has been removed.
- Station 982+00 LT L3 - Roper Loop - Maintain basin.
-Station 961+00 LT L3 -Add another basin/trap per Roadside Environmental report. Stabilize slopes.
- Station 32+00 LT Y6 - Seed slope.
