Subject: Representative Outfall Status Request
This email is addressed to Laurens Willard, of Galvan Industries.
We received a Representative Outfall Status (ROS) Request for your facility in Harrisburg, NC.
The request mentions a Lily Kay inspection in April 2022 where ROS was discussed.
I have a couple of questions related to the request:
1) Ms. Kay' inspection report for the April 2022 inspection indicated that "Additional sampling is recommended from the galvanized metal buildings' roof
drains to determine if they are contributing to the metal concentrations". Has that sampling occurred?
2) Related to the request for OF#2 to be representative of OF#5 and TOH-1, a) do OF#5 and TOH-1 flow to OF#2, or, do they discharged separately from
OF#2; b) if they discharge separately from OF#2, did you provide any supporting analytical data that shows these outfalls are similar; and, (c) Does your
SWPPP have drainage area maps that show which areas drain to which outfalls—if you can provide those, it would be very helpful as we review your
request.
