The Division of Water Resources received your sludge survey information on September 05, 2023.
With the survey results, you requested an extension of the sludge survey requirement for the lagoon
TS 1 & TS 1 2nd Stage at the Thomas Smith Farm facility. Due to the amount of treatment volume
available, and the rate of sludge accumulation for the lagoon, the Division agrees that a sludge
survey is not needed for TS 1 until December 31, 2028 and not needed for TS 1 2nd stage until
December 31, 2026.
The next sludge survey for the lagoon TS 1 at Tommy Stone Farm should be performed before
December 31, 2028 and lagoon TS 1 2nd Stage should be performed before December 31, 2026.
