Inspection Summary:
A routine compliance inspection of Beacon's Reach WWTF was conducted on August 24, 2023. The purpose of the
evaluation was to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in Permit
WQ0013676. Don O'Mara — ORC was present during the inspection.
The Beacon's Reach WWTF/reclaimed water system is permitted for 135,000 GPD and consists of:
• influent pump station
• 56,280 gallon flow equalization basin with a manually cleaned bar screen
• two anoxic reaction chambers
• two 45,630 gallon oxic zone units
• 8,528 gallon sludge thickening unit
• tertiary sand filters (not listed in current permit)
• sodium hypochlorite solution disinfection unit
• 135,000 gallon effluent storage tank
• 681,909 gallon 5-day holding pond
• approximately 12 acres of spray irrigation area located throughout the development
Flow during this summer season peaked to around 90,00 gpd, but averages around half of the permitted flow. A review of
monitoring reports since last inspection in 2021 show compliance.
The facility is compliant with Non -Discharge Permit WQ0013676. Please review the comment sections of the inspection
report for more details.
