This inspection was conducted to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in Non -discharge Permit No. WQ0024756. There were no significant issues or findings noted during the inspection and therefore, a response to this inspection report is not required. The purpose of the evaluation was to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in Permit W00024756. Don O'Mara — ORC was present during the inspection. The Grove WWTF is permitted for 120,000 GPD and consists of: • manually cleaned bar screen • 36,346 gallon flow equalization basin • two 58,643 gallon aeration tanks • two 13,100 gallon clarifiers • 29,930 gallon sludge holding basin • tertiary sand filter • 3,360 clearwell • 5,446 mudwell • ultraviolet disinfection • 11,440 gallon irrigation pump tank • 0.56 acre (24,258 ft2) drip line dosed high -rate infiltration area While this extended aeration plant is permitted for 120,000 gpd, current flows only average around 12,000 gpd in the summel season and 7,000 gpd in the winter. Only one train is in operation due to the low flows. The plant is surrounded by a public parking lot but is secured by a locked fence and signs are posted restricting public access. The high -rate infiltration raised drip field is located across West Bogue Blvd. MW #1 has been replaced. Locking caps need to be installed on all monitoring wells, especially since this area is open to the public. A review of the last two years of NDMR/NDAR reports shows two Nitrate exceedances in June and July 2022. GW-59 reports have been compliant. There are some minor maintenance issues to be resolved, but overall the facility is deemed compliant with non -discharge permit W00024756.
