7. Describe proposed work (include discussion as to how hardening of shoreline has been avoided, or
why it is necessary):
Shape and slope shoreline, install new matting, install boulder rip rap 4' above full pond to help control erosion occurring due to
the steepness of the bank. Above the rip rap in the 30' buffer zone, install an upper and lower Allen Block wall to replace 2 wood
walls that have disintegrated and are allowing erosion and run off to occur due the steepness of the buffer. Matting and mulch will
be installed from the top of the rip rap and extend upward 148' into buffer and beyond to help prevent and control erosion and run
off. No trees will have to be removed in the buffer to install retaining walls.
