Good afternoon Mr. Benton,
In reviewing your planting plan, NCWRC would like to see some flowering herbaceous plants in the seed mix to provide
pollinator habitat. Species can include Monarda, Eupatorium, Helenium, Vernonia, Solidago, or Bidens. Also, the Upland
Zone Planting Plan has fescue, which is a non-native, invasive species. If possible, we would rather see native grass
species (see attached list) or clover. Also, erosion control matting made of plastic mesh or twine should not be used
within the project area because it can injure or kill wildlife.
