PLANNING ASSESSMENT ADDENDUM (PAA)
Submit a planning assessment addendum for each pump station listed in Section II where Available Capacity is <
0.
Pump Station (Name or Number):
Given that:
a. The proportion and amount of Obligated, Not Yet Tributary Daily Flow (C) accounts for
54.9 % and-0.0995 MGD of the Available Capacity (E) in Pump Station
Steeplegate PS ; and that
b. The rate of activation of this obligated, not yet tributary capacity is currently approximately
see d below MGD per year; and that
c. A funded Capital Project that will provide the required planned capacity, namely
Steeplegate PS capacity expansion is in design or under construction with
planned completion in July 2025 ; and/or
d. The following applies:
1. The overall obligations not built result in-0.0995 mgd below the calculated available
flow for the Steeplegate PS, includes flows from homes that will be built out over the
next 3 years that will range from 0.016 mgd in 2023,and avg 0.034 mgd over next 3 yrs
2. We have reduced obligated flows based on new SB that allows future flow
calculations to be based on 75 gpd per bedroom instead of 120 gpd
3 Withers Ravenel (designer of SG pumping system exapnsion) updated schedule includes
a bid schedule of Nov 2023, construction start Jan 2024, completion July 2025
4. The exisitng ADF for each PS is based on 12 months of historical SCADA records
Therefore:
Given reasonably expected conditions and planning information, there is sufficient justification to allow
this flow to be permitted, without a significant likelihood of over -allocating capacity in the system
infrastructure.
I understand that this does not relieve the collection system owner from complying with G.S. 143-
215.67(a) which prohibits the introduction of any waste in excess of the capacity of the waste disposal
system.

Project Narrative

ho111
Ridge Pointe Subdivision 1 is a proposed 59 lot single family residential subdivision off Surrett Drive
in Trinity, North Carolina. Located just north of Interstate 1-85 in Randolph County, this 27.30 acre tract of
land is bordered to the north by a large parcel of land, to the east and south by a branch of the Uwharrie
River, and to the west by Surrett Drive. Once construction of the subdivision is complete, a contractors will
construct a variety of single-family homes all consisting of 4-bedroom.
In recent years, the City of Trinity has built a significant amount of sewer infrastructure to spur
development within the area. One of those recent projects happens to be located on the eastern edge of this
parcel and will be utilized to provide sewer service to this new subdivision. This permit will cover the new
construction of sewer mains throughout this project and consists of 2,082 linear feet of 8" PVC and 652
linear feet of 8" ductile iron pipe. The piping listed and installed under this permit will meet or exceed today's
design standards and regulations for both the City of Trinity and NCDENR.
The proposed sewer lines wi►I tie to an existing 12" sewer outfall located just outside the 50' stream
buffer of the adjacent stream. Based on the size, the sewer line has more than sufficient capacity to handle
the expected demand from the proposed 59 single family homes within this project. A total of 28,320
gals/day is expected at full build out of the proposed subdivision using a daily flow of 120 gals/day per
bedroom. This total daily flow was calculated using a breakdown of 59 4-bedroom homes using 480
gals/day.
At the completion of construction, the City of Trinity has agreed to take over maintenance of the
sewer mains and streets within the project since the utilities will be installed within a public right of way or
utility easement. The water mains within the area and this project will be owned and operated by Davidson
Water, Inc.
