SUBJECT: 2022 Residuals Annual Report Review
Wayne Farms, LLC, Residuals Land Application Program
Permit No. WQ0004609
Surry County
Dear Mr. Wooten:
Division of Water Resources staff Kristen Potwora completed a review of the 2022
Residuals Annual Report. This review mostly reflects compliance with the subject permit.
The following item of concern was noted:
1. As a reminder, land application notifications must be completed at least one
business day in advance of land application per Permit Condition III.3.
Based on available records, there was no notification prior to the May 12,
2022, land application event. All land application notifications can be directed
to Caitlin Caudle at caitlin.caudle@deq.nc.gov or 336-776-9699.
2. The non-hazardous characteristics (TCLP) results provided in the annual
report were sampled on July 25, 2019. The current permit was issued
November 25, 2019. Attachment A requires that TCLP be sampled once per
permit cycle. A TCLP analysis will still need to be completed by
December 31, 2025.
