Typical Cross Section Description: (Approach) 2 - 10' lanes with 3' grassed shoulders (Approach) 2 - 10' lanes with 2' grassed shoulders (Culvert) 2 - 10' lane with 12' paved shoulder (LT) and 7' paved shoulders (RT) (Bridge) 2 - 12' ft lane with 0.3' paved shoulders Annual Avg Daily Traffic (veh/hr/day): r Design/Future: 2000 Year F2025 Existing: 1100 Year: 2011 General Project Narrative: Best Management Practices (BMPs) and runoff controls used for this project have been implemented to reduce the stormwater impacts to the receiving stream due to erosion (Description of Minimization of Water and unfiltered runoff. Temporary construction runoff will be controlled by using Silt Fence, Special Sediment Control Fence Sections, Rock Silt Checks with Matting and Quality Impacts) Flocculant, Impervious Dikes, Special Stilling Basins, Rock Pipe Inlet Sediment Traps, and Rock Inlet Sediment Traps, Clean Water Diversions and Temporary Matting and Grassing. The existing 26' continuous span bridge will be replaced with a double 12' X 6' partially buried box culvert. The proposed roadway will have a 2 % normal crown and will drain through grass shoulders, roadside ditches, and existing drainage structures; no new drainage structures are proposed. The roadside ditches will be maintained and lined with rock silt checks to minimize the discharge of sediment laden water into the stream. Impervious dikes will be used to help divert the stream during culvert construction. The existing abutments and bridge structure will be completely removed. The right culvert barrel will have a 1' concrete sill and will serve as the low flow barrel and the left barrel will have a 2' sill which will transition into floodplain benches upstream and downstream of the culvert. No channel modifications are proposed for this project outside of the right of -way. Existing drainage patterns are being maintained.
