Chatham County
On August 15, 2023, the Division received a request from the Town of Siler City for the release of
Phase 2 flow. The Division issued the Authorization to Construct permit to the Town for the 6MGD
expansion of the WWTP on August 22, 2023. We have confirmed that all Action Items for Phase 2
have been completed per Paragraph 4(a) of the Special Order by Consent. As agreed, the Division
hereby authorizes the Town to accept 75,000 gallons per day of new flow to their wastewater
treatment plant. The Town may allocate this flow at its discretion. No additional flow beyond what is
authorized in this letter is permitted at this time.
