Dear Mr. Cornwell:
The Wilmington District Corps of Engineers (District) is in receipt of your May 26, 2015,
letter requesting that the application and file for Cleveland County Water's (CCW) proposed
water supply reservoir near Lawndale, North Carolina, remain open until September 1, 2015, in
order to acquire additional information. CCW's letter was in response to the District's
April 27, 2015, letter which stated that we had not received any of the additional information
requested in our previous January 8, 2015, letter. The District's April 27, 2015, letter also stated
if we did not hear from CCW within 30 days (of receipt of the letter) CCW's application would
be withdrawn and the file would be closed.
As you have requested, the District will keep CCW's file open until September 1, 2015, in
order to give you time to acquire the requested additional information and after that date if we
have not received this information CCW's application will be withdrawn and the file will be
closed.
