USACE staff has reviewed your PCN submi Ʃed on July 21, 2023 and need clarificaƟon on impacts. 2 Your applicaƟon proposes 191 LF x 20 LF as temporary impact for dewatering but does not specify temporary fill that will be placed and removed. What is the length and width of proposed temporary fill that will be placed and removed associated with coffer dams and access ramps (if any). Once this informaƟon is received, staff will conƟnue review of your PCN. Please note, the USACE cannot issue a 404 Permit without the associated 401 Water Quality Cer ƟficaƟon, concurrence with USFWS (iniƟated on 7/27/23) , and comments from NCWRC. Please note, DWR’s 30-day public comment period ends on August 26, 2023. hƩps://www.ncwater.org/?page=745 Do not hesitate to ask any quesƟons. Hope this finds you both well. Last week I submiƩed a PCN for emergency repairs on a levee protec Ɵng the Maggie Valley WWTP. Due to the nature of the repairs needed and the pending trout moratorium I was hoping to get this on your radar as soon as possible. The Town has a preconstruc Ɵon meeƟng scheduled for August 1st and the contractor is ready to go. I know you both have plenty of applicaƟons ahead of this one and normally I would not ask to expedite anything this early but if there is anything you all can do to get it moving the Town would greatly appreciate it so they can get the work started before the trout moratorium or any further undermining of the levee. If you need anything for your review, please let me know. I don’t have a DEQ # yet Andrew, in fact they fee hasn’t even been requested so I know you don’t have it on your list. Thanks!
