certify that, to the best of my knowledge, the addition of the
v e of er to e perms s project has been evaluated along the route to the receiving
wastewater treatment facility and that the flow from this project is not anticipated to cause any capacity
related sanitary sewer overflows or overburden any downstream pump station en route to the receiving
treatment plant under normal circumstances. This analysis has been performed in accordance with local
established policies and procedures using the best available data. This certification applies to those items
listed above in Sections I and II for which I am the responsible party. Signature of this form indicates
acceptance of this wastewater flow.

"Project Narrative for Kill Devil Hills Commercial/Retail Complex
(Hairoics)"- Lift Station
k1 F. 35', If E. - : L?
This application encompasses the engineered design of a proposed individual lift station to
service the Kill Devil Bills Commercial Retail Complex (Hairoics) located @ 1314 South
Croatan Hwy., in the township of Kill Devil Hills, Dare County, North Carolina for
connection to the existing KDHWW'IP, LLC, an authorized NC Private Utility Company.
The proposed development will consist of multiple retail businesses contained within a
single commercial structure that is anticipated to generate an average daily design waste flow
of approximately 2,400 gpd, (see attached breakdown of associative uses). The proposed
plan will consist of a 6" diameter gravity influent line to a proposed 6' diameter wet well
containing a duplex pumping system. A separate 1,500 gallon Grease Interceptor is located
upstream of the lift station to accept any waste generation from the proposed food service
facility prior to conveyance into the wet well. The wet well has been outfitted with the
following system components;
• A duplex pumping system w/associative controls
• 24-Hours of emergency storage
• A remote telemetry system w/battery backup
• A portable generator receptacle
• A manual dis-connect switch
• A valve vault with a duplex check valve/gate valve configuration
• A 4" dia. force main
The design of the lift station and force main components is designed in accordance with the
guidelines set forth in NCDENR-DWQ NCAC 15A 02T.0305 Waste Not Discharged to Surface
Waters. The proposed 6001.f. force main will be routed via the subject property along the
Blue Jay St. western right-of-way margin, along the northern Holly St. northern right-of-way
margin for connection into the 6"o pvc force main located along the Goldie Street western
right-of-way margin for conveyance to the KDHWWI'P . All access hatches and enclosures
will be padlocked to prevent unauthorized, access to the system controls. Once constructed,
this system will be maintained and managed by Envirotech, LLC the management entity for
the wastewater treatment plant and collection system.
