Basically, as they received funds they would do what they could afford with the funds received. Thus the "piecemeal" approach. Hopefully this will get everything under one roof. I would suggest, finding their previous 401's (from the mid 2000's) and linking them under this DWR # 2) The current projects are pretty straight forward: a. A) Site 1: Davis Lake: they will do some cleaning /dredging of existing pond. A "forebay° will be constructed at the upstream end of the pond to accumulate sediment and trash from above. This is not a water quality BMP. Similar to what the city of charlotte does on their pond upgrades b. B) Site 2: stormwater pond modification. This was one of those onsite agreement in the past. They are going to increase the size and convert from a "wetland" to a wet pond. IT DID JUST DAWN on me, if a stream actually flows into this feature. If so, there isn't enough flow that it discharges from the BMP, except during a storm rain event. c. C) Site 4: Is an old farm pond that they are going to upgrade /repair /maintain /retro fit . This will be used for retention, not treatment. Basically serving the same purpose as now. d. D) Site 5: Stream restoration potential. The top of the stream was "kicked out ". The IP point was move further down gradient to a head cut. Luckily, this allow runs from SW BMP OK, those are the comments from the site visit. No changes to the application. Just clarification for the applicant as to what would be allowed /preferred.
