A change of ownership requires that one of the parties submit a Name Change Form with a $100 fee. This would have to be taken care of prior to additional changes. The permit is for a 220,000 gallon per day wastewater treatment system. There is presently a 50,000-gpd plant built. The change o ' f ownership process would allow DWQ to mark capacity status. A wastewater flow year with 80% capacity reached in the peak season has in the past mandated the building of the next stage of treatment plant. If I can be of any assistance as always I can be reached -at 252-946-6481, ext. 223. BOX 1000 PHONE (919) 473.1101 It has recently come to my attention that there has been a change of ownership involving the Kinnakeet Shores Partnership. As you probably recall, this Partnership is responsible for the operation of a privately owned central wastewater treatment plant in Avon, North Carolina. This central wastewater treatment plant was constructed in conjunction with the Kinnakeet Shore Soundside Subdivision and the associated'Hatteras Island Shopping Center. Over the last couple of weeks, a number of potential uses of the Kinnakeet Shores wastewater treatment plant have contacted my office concerning development plans and use of this plant for wastewater disposal. The purpose of this letter is to request information from your agency on the status of this treatment plant. Before we move forward with any additional uses, it would be helpful to know that the plant is fully in compliance and ready to receive additional flow. In addition, it would be helpful .for us to know how any change in ownership affects the status and operation of this privately owned plant. Your attention to this is appreciated.
