The existing 36" X 120' CMP will be removed using NCDOT's guidelines for culvert removal. The proposed 54"
X 110' CAP with endwalls will be placed on the existing alignment as shown in the permit drawings.
This culvert was permitted back in 2019 under SAW-2019-01489 and NCDWR Project No. 20191018, but a
funding shortfall delayed the project. The culvert is located approximately 0.22 mi. east of NC 345 on an
unnamed canal to the Roanoke Sound.
DCM has issued GP No. 89916 for the project.
