Describe the existing conditions on the site and the general land use in the vicinity of the project at the time of this application: * This property is an existing residential lot on the Tar River Reservoir and it has an existing CMU bulkhead and pier that is 32 feet long and 10 feet wide for a total area of 3200 sqft. 4b. Explain the purpose of the proposed project:" To expand the existing 320 square foot pier with a new docking pier on the north side of the existing pier to accommodate a boat lift. The configuration will be an "L" shaped 4 foot wide pier that is 40 feet long for a total area of 160 square feet. There will also be an open boat lift on the south side of the existing pier that will have a 6 foot by 8 foot pier adjacent to a boat lift. 41. Describe the overall project in detail, including indirect impacts and the type of equipment to be used: * This project will involve the sinking of new pilings to support the new pier. Work will be done when the water level is low to minimize the impacts to open waters. The primary impact to WOUS will be shading created from the new dock boards.
