Reuse of soil should not occur. Invasives should be pre-treated onsite before construction. Detail needed on how scour, instability or other erosive/stabilization issues will be handled (after construction, not talking about NPDES). Potentially addressed by USACE requirements for elevation monitoring Consider some freshwater tolerant species within the wetlands fringe around the stormwater pipe discharge area that can handle freshwater stormwater flows. O&M Plan and Biological Monitoring Plan How will the vegetative planting success of planned restoration efforts be quanitifed? Consider having a mortality threshold where replanting would be required. Main Tidal Wetlands BMP "Invasives shall be managed regularly." -need detailed post -construction phrag management plan. May be addressed by O& M plan provide detail. Tidal Creek- states sediment accumulation is acceptable unless prevents outflow from stormwater wetland. Potentially addressed by USACE requirements for elevation monitoring Post -event Inspections will occur "once every 3 months or within 24 hours of any major storm event". What is a major storm event? 1 inch of rain? A named hurricane? A minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of biological monitoring is recommended. Three (3) years may conclude prior to site equilibrium.
